![]() ![]() One interaction to be cognizant of is that a biofuel reactor can't generate power at the same rate that two water filtration units use said power. I do have the Cyclops, but honestly I hate driving it and would prefer to mine/explore this area with my prawn and shuttle myself and materials back to my main base via seamoth. 11 Efficient Power Usage Subnautica operates in a fashion in which the systems in place for all of the technology and tools you are using work together in specific ways. I'm also worried about that giant swimming centipede attacking my base if I build it there at the entrance, but I think I can test it by loitering in that area to see if anything patrols close enough to aggro. Are there any tricks to get extra height without cheating? If not, I'll have to settle for building at the entrance, closer to the ugly fossil with three green waterfalls pouring into it, but this is less ideal for aesthetic reasons - the best views are a couple hundred meters closer to the tree. ![]() I'm planning on making a base here since it appears to have easy access to a volcanic area where I believe there will be another alien base, compared with that awful vertical mineshaft with the leviathan guarding the top.Īnyway, I'd like to be able to shuttle a seamoth between my main base and this tree base, but I can't seem to place a moonpool above 900m depth right at the tree, leaving no clearance for the seamoth's max depth. Otherwise you need reinforcement panels which require lithium (at least in the last update). Foundations do add to hull integrity, along with bulkheads. So I found a pretty glowing tree with eggs in it at just past 900m depth in an underground cavern. Creative mode should make it really easy to test. The orientation of the Moonpool depends the orientation of the first foundation plate. (I'm on my first playthrough and haven't visited the alleged alien thermal plant at 1200m depth yet, so please, no further spoilers past the 800m alien base.) 32 Ancient 8:27pm Originally posted by Andreas: Originally posted by GordonDry: It's simple. ![]()
